About the seminar
Concurrency is central to modern software, from shared-memory programs to distributed systems. Understanding how these systems behave, and developing practical ways to test, analyse, and verify them, continues to raise challenging research questions.
This seminar brings together researchers to discuss recent advances, identify open problems, and explore new collaborations. The emphasis is on discussion and the exchange of ideas, with opportunities for early-career researchers to engage with the community.
The seminar is part of the ACM India IndiCS seminar series and will take place at the Infosys Mysore campus, India. Participation is by invitation.

Participation and participant information
Participation is by invitation only. Invitees have been sent the participant-information form and should complete it by Monday, 5 October 2026.

The form collects attendance plans, invitation-letter requests, dietary restrictions, food allergies, and accessibility needs. You do not need to have booked your travel. If your plans are uncertain, or you can no longer attend the full seminar, please indicate this in the form.
We will pass dietary and accessibility requests to the venue and confirm what can be accommodated. This form is separate from registration and the campus-security form that will follow.
Practical information
The arrangements below reflect the information shared by ACM India. We will update this page as further details become available.
Arrival and departure
Please plan to arrive on Sunday, 29 November, in the afternoon, and depart on Friday, 4 December, in the afternoon. Sessions will begin around 9-9:30 am on Monday, 30 November, and conclude before lunch on Friday, 4 December. We encourage everyone to attend the full seminar. All times are local to India (IST).
Dinner will be provided on 29 November, and lunch will be provided on 4 December.
Registration and accommodation
The registration fee is expected to be approximately INR 9,000, including taxes, single-room accommodation for the five nights of 29 November through 3 December, meals, and refreshments. Rooms will be arranged automatically for registered participants. No separate accommodation booking is needed.
ACM India expects registration to open about two weeks before the seminar. We will share registration instructions and the confirmed fee when available. Payment will be made directly to ACM India through an online portal that accepts international credit cards and issues receipts. Registration payments are non-refundable.
If you need additional nights, please arrange accommodation separately in Mysore or Bengaluru. Accompanying family members cannot be accommodated on campus for this event.
Travel to Mysore
For most international participants, the recommended option is to fly into Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and continue to Mysore by road. Travelling from Bengaluru to Mysore by train, followed by a taxi to campus, is another option.
Participants arrange and pay for their own transport. There are no organized airport transfers. We will circulate a separate travel-sharing sheet closer to the event to help interested participants coordinate rides. Contacts for return transport will also be available at the venue.
Campus security check-in operates around the clock. Please let the organizers know in advance if you expect to arrive late at night. We will share the exact entry gate and arrival instructions closer to the event.
Visas and invitation letters
For participants who require a visa, ACM India has suggested combining the visit with tourism and applying for an e-tourist visa. Please confirm with the relevant Indian mission that this is appropriate for your itinerary, including seminar attendance. Consult the Government of India’s visa portal for current requirements.
We will follow up separately with more detailed visa application guidance and contact details for use in the application. In the meantime, please allow sufficient time for your visa arrangements.
If you need an invitation letter for university travel approval or reimbursement, please indicate this in the participant-information form sent to invitees.
Campus access and individual requirements
Towards the end of October, we will circulate a separate form from ACM India requesting identification details, the devices you will bring, and your expected arrival and departure times. Please complete it within a week of receiving it, as this information is required for campus security clearance.
Laptops, phones, and tablets are permitted but must be declared in that form. Guest Wi-Fi will be available on campus.
Please indicate any dietary restrictions, food allergies, or accessibility needs in the participant-information form by 5 October. We will pass these requests to the venue and confirm what can be accommodated.

Programme
The seminar will include overview talks, short research presentations, open-problem sessions, and ample time for discussion and collaboration. We will follow up with participants about talk contributions and circulate the programme around two weeks before the seminar.
